​The Dance Base – Terms and Conditions
Effective as of May 1st, 2025.
Welcome to The Dance Base. By enrolling in our classes and participating in our programs, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms are in place to ensure a safe, professional, and positive experience for all dancers, parents/guardians, and staff.
1. Enrollment and Registration
1.1. All students must complete a registration form/Studio waiver and pay the annual registration fee before participating in classes.
1.2. Enrollment is on a full-year basis (August-June), unless otherwise agreed upon.
1.3. The Dance Base reserves the right to refuse enrollment or remove a student for breach of these terms.
2. Tuition and Fees
2.1. Tuition is payable monthly or annually. Payment schedules will be outlined upon registration.
2.2. All fees are non-refundable, including those for missed classes, competitions, or withdrawals.
2.3. Late payments may incur additional charges.
2.4. Additional costs may apply for costumes, competitions, travel, and workshops.
3. Class Attendance and Commitment
3.1. Regular attendance is expected of all competitive dancers.
3.2. Repeated absences may result in removal from routines or competitions.
3.3. Students must arrive on time and dressed appropriately for class.
4. Code of Conduct
4.1. Respect for instructors, staff, peers, and the studio space is mandatory.
4.2. Bullying, inappropriate behavior, or disrespectful conduct will not be tolerated.
4.3. Parents/guardians must conduct themselves respectfully and follow all studio policies.
5. Competitions and Performances
5.1. Participation in competitions is by invitation and at the discretion of the instructors.
5.2. All competition fees, costume fees, and travel costs are the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
5.3. Dancers must attend all scheduled rehearsals and meet performance standards set by instructors.
6. Health and Safety
6.1. Students participate at their own risk. The Dance Base is not responsible for injuries sustained during classes or events.
6.2. Parents/guardians must disclose any medical conditions that could affect participation.
6.3. The Dance Base reserves the right to send a dancer home if they are unwell or injured.
7. Media Release
7.1. Photos or videos of students may be taken during classes, performances, and events.
7.2. These may be used for promotional materials, social media, or studio advertising unless a written objection is submitted.
8. Studio Property
8.1. All studio equipment and facilities must be treated with care.
8.2. Any damage caused by a student will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
9. Changes to Terms
9.1. The Dance Base reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time.
9.2. Any changes will be communicated via email or posted on the studio website.
